Recycle everything but your kitchen sink! We will be accepting household items such as furniture and home appliances in working condition, clothing, shoes, books, toys, electronics (including TVs for a $10 charge), paper for shredding ($5 charge per banker’s box), tennis balls, tools, and fabric. (NO Paint) Organizations that will receive the collected goods include The United Methodist Children’s Home, First UMC Decatur Prison Ministry, Soles for Shoes, Southface, and local Decatur clothes closets. This is a great way to finish up your spring cleaning, donate to worthy charities, and help the environment! The event will be held rain or shine with a severe weather date of May 19th.
